Always Know Where You Came From

The last chapter of my junior high school has already ended, and I am relieved to say that I somehow survived it. Throughout the last quarter of being a 10th grader, I had many discoveries, but also had struggles along the way. I had fun learning on how to create a web page and as usual, just like the other chapters of my junior high, we always used to learn about the different types of networks. 

Even if I enjoyed learning and creating things dedicated to this subjects, it's obvious to say that I also had downs in doing so. The WYSIWYG factor of the web page wasn't doing it's job that much, and I struggled in making my web page work. Nonetheless, our practice teacher and my great friend helped me in overcoming this challenge. 

As I take another step forward, these learnings I've absorbed will be the pride of my mind, and surely, I'd be able to use these for the upcoming future.

Once a Year

An event of the whole school that is participated by every teacher, and every learner, Foundation Day, or also known as High School Day. As a student who participated in this activity, I could say that I enjoyed myself throughout the event last March 22, 2025.

I didn't have a great start, considering that I was ill. The parade was very exhausting but I managed to push through the pain I've felt; the preparation of the special day required the help of each other, even for the teachers. Seeing every performance from the different levels was superb, just like last year. 

Despite the joy, I was upset that neither the boys nor the girls from the Grade 10 batch were elected for the Champion of performance, since basing from my own critique, they deserve a higher rank for their incredible effort. Overall, the experience was fun and I hope for it to happen until my senior years.

A Place For Solace

School isn't just a place to learn and get stressed out; sometimes, you could also have fun and enjoy the event held by a certain group of people. TLE T's GO booths were placed at the SPTVE area and is filled with fun mini games and photo booths. It's a good place to have fun, especially if you have your trusty friends around.

Home Economic, an event held in front of the New Heroes Building and behind the old Main Cafeteria is filled with delicious Filipino delicacies that are rich in flavor. The stools are ran by High School students, which they can get experience and thrill with entrepreneurship.

Last but not the least, the crop museum. It does not only show healthy and thriving plants, but the learning also comes with facts and games. One of the games that my friends attended to was darting. Overall, the event that the TLE department held was fun and entertaining.

Never Fear Something You Crave

 

We all live in a very beautiful, ever-changing world, a world of brilliance that warms our hearts and comforts us. Each of us faces and overcomes obstacles that would otherwise upset us. We are all on the same ship, regardless of gender, ethnicity or belief. But amazing people are an exception. The reason for our happiness in this world. These rare people exist for their care and upbringing. These magnificent beings are women and can make a difference.

Let's be honest, "gender equality" can feel like a distant, almost unattainable goal. But this Women's Month, the theme "WE for Gender Equality and an Inclusive Society" gives me hope. It's not just about women fighting for their rights; it's about all of us recognizing that a fairer world benefits everyone. Imagine a society where your gender doesn't dictate your opportunities, where your voice is heard, and where you feel safe and respected. That's the power of "WE." It's about teamwork, empathy, and a shared commitment to building something better, together.

Think about it, equal pay, equal opportunities in education and leadership, an end to harassment and discrimination – these aren't just women's issues, they're human issues. It's about dismantling those invisible walls that hold us back, whether it's unconscious bias in the workplace or harmful stereotypes in the media. We need to actively challenge these things, not just tolerate them. And that means having uncomfortable conversations, listening to different perspectives, and being willing to change our own behaviors.

First Priority For The Future

As a student currently in the 10th grade, foreseeing my future at the moment would be a struggle, as I am still unable to process my decisions in life. But as for now, my main ambition and goal would be to be able to finish my studies and provide for my loved ones. 

I am a family oriented and I have a strong dedication with school, so my first goal is to finish junior high and enter STEM strand when I reach senior high. 15 years from now, I see myself supporting and providing for my family and hopefully, I would've already reached my desired career. 

I ask for God's guidance in achieving my goals, and also including my best of abilities. Life may not be always a smooth sail, but with my current abilities, I'd do my best to be able to pursue my dreams, as it is also for my future. Not only for myself, but also on behalf of others.
